channel today is the first of six
hashtag Gaza's 15-minute meals so
there's a few different reasons of why
I've decided to show you some more fast
paced convenient recipes and the first
one is a really really important issue
so I started my youtube channel over two
years ago to show people how good vegan
food could be and hopefully encourage
some people to go vegan or at least cut
down on them meat intake and I would
never really preach about going vegan
but I'd rather just let my food to the
talk and really just cuz I'm not the
best with my words however now I really
need to encourage people to go vegan and
I think these recipes that I'm going to
be showing you over the next six weeks
will make it more convenient and easier
for you guys at home over the last
century as humans have destroyed the
planet and we are now at a crisis point
and if everyone went vegan we could
actually reverse the damage that has
been done animal agriculture is the
largest cause of greenhouse gases and is
more than the whole of the transport
sector alone and according to an Oxford
study if globally went vegan it would
cut emissions by 70%
I really recommend checking out the
video that made me go vegan overnight
and also watch things like what the
health in cowspiracy on Netflix honestly
they are open your eyes to a whole new
world and going vegan was the best thing
I ever did honestly so that's the first
reason the second reason is the fact
that often I'm hearing that my recipes
can be a bit complex for the everyday
person people have busy lives and I know
that the best way to encourage people to
go vegan is giving them convenience
these convenient recipes that I'm going
to show you over the next six weeks will
really help you whether you're a busy
working person you've got a family these
recipes are not only tasty they're
really really healthy and can be made
from start to finish inside 15 minutes
and that includes all the cutting of
ingredients I promise
anyway guys I hope you understand why
I'm now gonna be showing you really
quick convenient recipes remember I have
done meal preps on my youtube channel
before they all help you with food for
out the week whether you're training in
the gym
or just looking for some healthy vegan
food these recipes honestly over the
next six six weeks are so tasty I hope

get straight into it now as I've done
too much talking and that was hard for
me

so today's hashtag Gaza's 15-minute
mears is my vegan interpretation of
Indonesia's nasi goreng I discovered
this amazing dish when I was in Bali
last year I was teaching at Bali vegan
festival and it's awesome I'm really
proud of my interpretation I hope you
like it
and I hope you try at home so first up
and I get my time ago in then I get my
rice cooking and make a sambal
which is the base of the nasi goreng
it's basically a chili paste this is so
simple and so tasty let's get that 15
minute timer going

so I'm getting some rice that I've just
rinsed off into some boiling water to
cook away to the packet instructions
next up I'm gonna make that sambal which
is that beautiful chili paste base that
makes this nasi goreng so so tasty so
everything into a blender basically into
your ninja blender add 3 red chillies 3
cloves of garlic some lemongrass paste
tomato puree lime juice and some sesame
oil so we need to get this blended up
now I'm gonna add a touch of seasoning
touch of salt actually because there's
enough pepper in there and get this
blitzed up this is going to be so
aromatic and just make the most amazing
base flavor to the nasi goreng

now that's the samples done this would
be so flavorsome and fragrant now wow
that's amazing and this is enough there
for about three to four times making
this nasi goreng and you can keep it in
the fridge for about four weeks I'm
gonna prep some vegetables now and get
cooking evenly chop some vegetables of
your choice I'm using some baby
courgette vine beans red pepper and red
onion so guys we're about five minutes
in now base is done veggies chopped I'm
gonna get cooking get your wok or large
frying pan hot and add a touch of oil
when the pan is hot add three
tablespoons of the sambal cook the
sambal around 30 seconds to a minute
people add in the onion and the rest of
the vegetables

I'm also going to add some peace and
some vegan protein I've got some vegan
chicken
[Music]
so I really like to leave a bit of a
bite to my vegetables so I really
quickly walk fry them then just drain
off the rice and that's ready to go in
now and I'm also going to serve some
crispy shallots on top of the nasi
goreng so I'm just gonna finely chop
some shallots now and get them cooking
in some hot oil finally slice the
shallots lengthways add the shallots to
some oil be careful not to overfill your
pan meanwhile add some the cooked rice
to your wok and give it a good old stir
fry so we've got about two minutes left
this is getting a nice stir fry now the
next ingredient I'm gonna add is some
ketchup menace now this is Indonesian
soy sauce basically but it's a bit
thicker a bit sweeter almost like a
trick treacle like consistency and it
will just add the most amazing sweetness
and umami flavor to the nasi goreng just
add it now
hey guys about one minute I'm now gonna
start plating up when the she lots of
golden remove them from the oil using a
spider and place them onto some kitchen
paper just drain off any excess oil I
like to dish my own as he going up into
a bowl as a mold then turn it out into
the plate garnish the nasi goreng with
some crispy shallots toasted cashew nuts
and some nice greenery and there we have
it guys my first of six hashtag Gaza's
50 minute meals my indonesian vegan nasi
goreng really happy with this got a
little bit of sweat on when I was
cooking but that's mainly because the
cameras are putting pressure on me but
you can do this comfortably I promise
you and it's enough to serve for I've
just done two big portions today and I
can't wait to give this a taste

it looks so good there's lots of
different text in there lots of fresh
healthy vegetables in there I'm just
gonna have a really bold umami flavor
from the sambal and also just getting
some nice color on the veg the rice and
everything when you're toss it in the
pan helps add better flavor let's taste
it mmm it's almost as good as being in
Bali this is so so tasty and made in
only 15 minutes I challenge you guys to
